HOW OUR SYSTEMS WORK
Direct Digital provides a fully managed digital signage solution, consisting of both a cloud-hosted Media Management System and a locally installed endpoint.
ENDPOINT
The endpoint is an Intel-based computer equipped with a high-brightness, multi-touch display that runs our custom Digital Signage application. It is regularly updated with the latest security patches and antivirus software. For optimal performance, the endpoint requires internet access to communicate with our hosted Media Management System. This ensures two-way communication between the local system and the server, allowing it to download new content, updates, and configurations.
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Our Media Management System is designed with security as a priority. It operates behind dedicated DMZs, Palo Alto firewalls, and employs advanced threat prevention technologies. The system allows users to add, remove, and publish changes in real time. Additionally, it logs the on/off state of the system, daily play activity, and content changes, all of which are securely transmitted back to the management system for tracking and analysis.
HIGH AVAILABILITY AND FAULT TOLERANCE
The infrastructure of our Media Management System is built to be highly available and fault-tolerant, ensuring continuous operation even in the event of hardware or network failures. With redundancy across critical components and load balancing across multiple servers, the system is able to maintain uptime and seamless performance, minimizing any risk of disruption to your services.
SECURITY
All data, whether in transit or at rest, is secured with industry-leading encryption methods, including 256-bit AES, KMS, TLS 1.2/1.3, HSTS, SSL certificates, and key chains. Web traffic is protected through HTTPS/SSL transmission, ensuring the highest level of security for your content and data.
